Welcome to Middle School at Micanopy Area Cooperative School! We are excited to begin this new chapter with you as we continue to grow our middle school program. Middle school is a time to challenge yourself, discover new interests, build lasting friendships, and prepare for the future. Our goal is to create a learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, lead with confidence, and take pride in their accomplishments.
We invite all middle school students and families to attend our Middle School Orientation on Thursday, August 6th, from 5:30–6:30 p.m. During orientation, you'll meet your teachers, learn about our "Positive and Professional" philosophy, review the middle school dress code, and discuss expectations for a successful school year. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, become familiar with our program, and get excited for the year ahead.
Don't forget to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge! Spending time reading and keeping your mind active over the summer will help you begin the school year feeling confident and ready to succeed.
The First Day of School is Monday, August 10th, and we can't wait to welcome our middle school students back to campus.
