Welcome to 1st Grade!
Welcome to an exciting year in 1st Grade at Micanopy Area Cooperative School! We are looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, creativity, and fun. First grade is an exciting time as students become more confident readers, writers, mathematicians, and problem-solvers while building friendships and discovering new interests.
As we get ready for an amazing school year, we encourage all of our students to participate in the Summer Slide Challenge! Reading, practicing math facts, writing, and completing the challenge activities over the summer will help students return to school feeling confident and ready to learn.
We can't wait to meet our newest First Grade Manatees at Meet the Teacher on Friday, August 7th. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit the classroom, meet your teacher, and get excited for the year ahead. Then, we'll officially kick off the school year on the First Day of School, Monday, August 10th!
